Market Street:

There are now three buildings downtown that are currently or formerly the Blind Pig. This window art is advertising the opening of the new brewery one, which people call the “Piglet”, so as not to be confused with the main Blind Pig one street over. In between those two is where the 90s Blind Pig was, but it’s now known as the “Cowboy Monkey” so only really old people (like me) are likely to be confused by it.

Every night that I’ve been on Church Street, there’s been this unearthly blue light on the second floor of the perpetually unfinished M2 building.

I tried to get the blue accurate, but that did a number on every other color in these pics.

When I was a kid (and the world was sepia-colored), this was a huge asian grocery. Later they were a flower shop. Now, empty.

 

NOTE, FROM THE FUTURE: This building now has historical landmark status! It’s also going to have apartments that I will never be able to afford. Yay?
