Bounce that
Since I will probably never be able to afford a speedlite*, I tried a much cheaper solution: using a piece of white paper bounce the built-in flash off the ceiling. My first test subject was the impossible-to-photograph Woody:
Next, the still impossible-to-photograph Lint, but at least it’s a bit better:
I’m waiting for one of these to show up, which should make things a bit easier. This should tide me over for a while.
*Sure it’s not THAT expensive, but I can’t really justify it with the sporadic kitteh and toy pics. I have other expensive hobbies to support too. It would make it easier to get good pics at shows be a total douchetruck, though.
