Travel-bot 2
NEW: Here’s a map with all the pics! (Pics mostly not included… yet.)
This will be where I will chronicle the exploits of my army of alternate Travel-bots, sent out on missions when I am too afraid to send out the original one (so, all the times).
Would you like to contribute? Here’s what I would need for maximum happiness:
- An interesting location/event that I have no hope of ever visiting. (Bonus if it’s anything seen on Roadside America.)
- Original image (so’s I can has EXIF data).
- Geographical data, like an address (I can look it up) or GPS coordinates (sweet).
- My bot back (optional, at least until I run out of bots).
- That’s probably it!
We will be contacting you! Or, you can be all proactive and interactive.
Travel-bot’s bucket list
- Chicago, IL: The Sears-I-mean-Willis Tower Skydeck. You know, the glass box outside the building? Yeah, yeah, I go to Chicago a few times a year, but that’s always for shows that are nowhere near the Sears-I-mean-Willis Tower. I’ll probably luck out someday.
- Clinton, WI: The famous “truck in the tree“. I used to live near this (the truck would occasionally be replaced with a General Lee), but I didn’t have a camera or a Travel-bot at that time.
- Minneapolis, MN: 2215 Bryant Ave South, aka the house on the cover of Let It Be.
- Cleveland, OH: The A Christmas Story house!
- NYC: One of those “FML” subway signs, if they’re still around.
- Albuquerque, NM: Any Breaking Bad locations, but especially Walt’s house and Jesse and Jane’s duplex.
- Los Angeles, CA: The Dude’s private residence, man.
Norwich, UK: Smeat Street!Boo-yaa!- Paris: Père-Lachaise cemetery, the Raspail family grave.
- Easter Island: You know what to do.
- Somewhere in Japan: If they ever put up the life-size Gundam statue again (like, say, SPRING 2012), Travel-bot 2 will be ready.
- Somewhere in Japan or South Korea (the internets can’t make up their minds): The kancho statue.
- Outer Space: We don’t want to live on this planet anymore.
